Last Tuesday evening Smith and Smith hairdressing held their “Assistant of the Year Awards”
Almost 80 invited guests, family, and team members where delighted to see a presentation and catwalk show by all the assistants, each assistant presented two models, first model was a based on a “Classic” theme and the second Model was pure fantasy with hair and makeup based upon an “Animal” theme.
The evening came to a tense finally when the winner was announced. The winner was chosen over a period of six months and voted for weekly by her peers.
Presenter of the award and trophy, Georgina Glynn (Smith and Smith Training Manager) Said that in the end there where only 3 voted between first and second and only 21 votes between all six.
The overall winner was Lauren Carss. Lauren won the trophy, Gift vouchers to spend on her passion clothes, and a pair of Professional Scissors donated by Paul Mitchell.
Jo Smith Salon Director said. “Lauren is a deserving winner, although she has now completed her training and has already started to build up a following working as a stylist in the salon. She has a great future in hairdressing” “Congratulations Lauren”
